| The new era requires young people to shoulder the great task of rejuvenating the Chinese nation.Young people should be patriotic,inspirational,truth-seeking and practical.At present,some young people lack public consciousness.In the process of studying,they show that they pursue fame and gain,only care about their own interests,and sit on the Diaoyutai in the face of matters involving public interests.The prevalence of competitive individualism,coupled with the excessive emphasis on competition in some schools,leads to more and more isolated and divided communication between primary school students in school life,and finally cultivate some "lonely primary school students" rather than "cooperative primary school students".In the communication with "others",always holding a kind of distrust,competition and anxiety,it is difficult to realize the fun of cooperation,the value and significance of unity.School education should provide warmth and care for students and cultivate students’ sense of cooperation and solidarity.Primary school is the foundation stage for individuals to form correct and good public character,so it is imperative to cultivate pupils’ public character.Based on the above content,the main solution of this study is: what are the problems existing in the cultivation of public character of primary school students,what are the reasons causing the problems of public character of primary school students,and how to improve and optimize the cultivation of public character of primary school students.Specifically,this paper is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction.It aims to put forward research questions,clarify research objectives,define related concepts,comment on domestic and foreign research,and clarify research ideas and methods.The second part is the theoretical basis of public character cultivation of pupils.It mainly includes: communicative behavior theory,public life theory,character formation theory and political socialization theory.The third part is a comparative analysis of the public character training of primary school students in four foreign countries from three aspects of the goal,content and curriculum,and a review of the policy development of Chinese primary school students’ public character training.The fourth part is the investigation and analysis of the status quo of public character cultivation of pupils.By means of questionnaire survey and interview,11 primary schools in Wuxi City were taken as examples to investigate the status quo of public character training for primary school students.The results showed that there were some problems in public character education for primary school students.The main problems were: schools paid more attention to moral knowledge than public practice,teachers’ public character training goals were deviated,and public character education for primary school students lacked a systematic and complete education environment.The main problems in the development process are: elementary school students do not have a deep understanding of public character,the awareness of the public rules of inter-subject communication needs to be improved,the awareness of other consciousness appears cognitive deviation,and the unity of public character knowledge and practice needs to be improved.According to the investigation,it is mainly caused by the lack of social atmosphere,parents’ lack of attention,teachers’ separation of knowledge and practice,and school management’s lack of attention to public character.The fifth part is mainly the countermeasures to optimize the public character cultivation of pupils.In view of the four problems existing in the public character cultivation of primary school students,this paper puts forward suggestions from four aspects: school management,classroom teaching,class construction and campus life,in order to contribute to the effective implementation of public character cultivation of primary school students. |
