The Relevant Studies On The Socialization Of The Rural Children And Their Family Education

The rural children are in an important period of their individual socialization. The rural family education, one of the socializing factors, will play an important role in laying a foundation for attaining the successful individual socialization of the rural children. Its effect will last all their lives. This thesis analyses the features of the development of the rural children's self-consciousness during each socializing period, the meaning and contents of their socialization, the influence of the rural family education, and the instructive function of the rural family education during each period of the rural children's socialization. For the above-mentioned analyses and from the aspects of sociology, psychology, ethics, ideological and political pedagogy and so on, the author studies the affecting factors of the family education on the rural children's socialization at the present time by way of consulting the documents and reference materials and also practical investigations. The outcome of the research indicates as follows: 1 Man's socialization is attained by the society's instructive education and the individual's digestion and mastery in the course of the interaction between the society and the individual. It is the cultivating course of man's social property, which comprises living skills, social behavioral rules, social roles and outlook on value. 2 The self-consciousness of the rural children develops regularly. Based on its law, their socialization can be divided into three periods: primary school, junior middle school and senior middle school. There is a specific task during each period. 3 The rural family education can lay a foundation for the rural children's mastering the basic social rules in the social life, forming and developing personality, sound ideological and moral character, ability to be independent and act on their own and intelligence. 4 Nowadays the following negative factors affect the rural children's socialization: the bad inside conditions of the rural family education and the bad outside surroundings, which are closely related to the former. The former mainly comprises the one-sided contents of the family education, the bad ways and atmosphere of the family education. The latter comprises unhealthy television culture, harmful culture markets in the rural town and the bad social climate in the countryside. 5 In order to accelerate the course of the rural children's socialization, the whole society must create favorable growing conditions for them. Besides, the parents of the rural children must improve their quality constantly and establish entirely new socializing objectives for the rural family education.
