College young teachers are fresh activists and important component ofcollege teachers; hence their growth will directly influence teaching qualityand even the development of colleges. At present, college young teachers areconfronted with many problems indeed, which often cause them to get intorole predicament. On the basis of social role theory, this article deeplyanalyzes the embodiments and causes of college young teachers'rolepredicament in combination with college young teachers'growing law, inorder to provide reference to eliminating their embarrassing role predicament.The main contents in this article have three sections. The first section isabout this article's theoretical basis, i.e. social role theory, including themeaning,fundamental elements and acting process of social role, thedefinition of role predicament and its concerning concepts. The secondsection mainly analyzes the embodiments of college young teachers'rolepredicament. For instance, they have frequent role conflict,nervous rolerelationship,obvious role distance,critical role pressure and weak role ability.The third section deeply discusses the causes of college young teachers'rolepredicament, from three angles: society,colleges and college young teachersthemselves.
