| Switzerland lies in the middle of the Europe, be called the European heart. It has 1,430,000sq.km(one half of ChongQing city),its population is more than 7million.lt takes much count of education, its educational outlay occupying great proportion of budget in all levels' government,8% in federal government,25% in the canton. It carries 9year compulsory education, and banished the illiterate theoretically. Its educational characteristics is that junior high schooling popularization, common senior high schooling occupies small proportion, vocational education takes big one, its university teaching has high quality.Vocational education is the most characteristic of the educational system in Switzerland. Switzerland attaching importance to the vocational education is embodied not only in legislation, but also in perception. It considers that one country should foster not only the scientists, also all kinds of the professionals. It is impossible to succeed in the economy and society without one precise integrity vocational system. The high technology depends on the high levels in the vocation for existence. They should be integrated to develop the economy and society. The Swiss has common understanding that children will have a good prospect studying in the vocational school for their inclination and practicality.Documentation and comparison were handled in this article. Status of the Swiss vocational education system was analyzed or studied about its form and content, configuration and characteristic. Discussed and compared with the China's vocational education system. Pointed out the questions in the China's vocational education system, Analyzed the difference in the vocational system between Switzerland and China, Discussed the reasons about the difference. In the end pointed out questions should be considered about establishing our vocational system, including 1) the tradition of education, 2) legislation constructing, 3) occupational guidance and consultation.
