Reading course is an important part of Mongolian Language teaching in middle school, and plays a leading role in all kinds of language teaching activities. It takes text teaching as the core, and have important influence on the improvement of students' reading ability, the stimulation of reading interest, cultivating good reading habits and grasping scientific reading methods. Also it improves students' writing, communicating, and Language awareness ability and promote the aesthetic education and moral education.This paper consists of introduction, chapter one, Chapter two, chapter three, conclusion and bibliography, these six ports.Introduction includes general situation of the research, the gist of selecting the subject and the research methods.Chapter one: compared the status and development of reading course in "syllabus" and "text book" published between 1978-2001.Chapter two discussed the function of reading. Course on writing, communication, language awareness aesthetic education and moral education.Chapter three explored the measures of accomplishing reading course task and developing reading ability.
