The Theory And Case Study On Local Curriculum Development

It is a most important and novel part of the new basic education curriculum innovation to put three-level curriculum management with three organizations including state, region and school into practice, and to establish and perfect the management mechanism and pattern for curriculum development. This kind of curriculum management situation and management mechanism and pattern for curriculum development is also the trend and sign of the further reformation for education management mechanism. The overseas academic and practical research on local curriculum development shows that the development plays a most role in strengthening the curriculum adaptability to the regions, schools and students, satisfying particularity, diversity and otherness for the development of the regions and students, and effectively promoting the progress for regions, schools and students. However, for local curriculum development is a newborn research topic in China, there has been less theoretical and practical research on it. It is very important to systematically and further study local curriculum development in order to form the theoretical system and practical pattern of local curriculum development in China.The dissertation mainly covers four parts of the local curriculum development applying literature method, investigation method, case-study method and so on.In the first section, i.e. introduction part, it is introduced that research situation about local curriculum at home and abroad, further analysis on the leading problems existed in the practice about current local curriculum development. The part is helpful for us to know the time situation, research status, developing trend of local curriculum development. Then value and gist of local curriculum development are given in the second section. The definition of local curriculum is introduced. The correlative concepts are also clarified here.
