"Population security" was expounded two years ago, and the research on it is very elementary. The thesis is studying China population security with four questions: theoretical basis of population security, challenges which contemporary China faces, objective conditions maintaining Population security, and the last, how to maintain China Population security. The thesis is composed of four parts:Under the base of the sociological analysis of both "population" and "security", Part One points out that population security is a situation in which state or society could avoid connecting of population with danger, and which is determined by two viarables: Threats, which means trends and results of the transforming of population problems into population security problems; and vulnerabilities, which means social security threshold does not exist at all. The security state is contrary to the two viarables.Under the theoretical basis of threats and vulnerabilities, the thesis introduces the social conflict theory, and expounds the research skeleton of population security:?whether population problems bring forth social impacts;(2)whether the social impacts bring forth social conflicts furtherly, and whether the latter transcends certain cretira ;(3)and the last, whether state and society have adequate objective conditions in governing population security problems. The thesis uses the fomula in contemporary China population security.By analyzing the challenges of Contemporarily China population security faces, Part Two points out that China is witnessing threatening of many population security problems, and that population problems have been into population security problems: Firstly, contemporary China have many population problems.
