Research On The Security System For Rural Elderly In China Under The Process Of Population Aging

With the population old-age coming, the fact that old far away richness attracted much more attention in old-age insurance of China country. At present there are huge number of rural elderly in China who are lack of formal social security. Now the rural community economy can't widely satisfy the demand of the elderly, however the former rural arrangement for the elderly has changed during the social transformation period. Now the rural elderly benefit has been damaged by the reform. The security problem of the rural elderly has drawn wide attention from the academia and the society. Family security characterized by children supporting aged parents is an important, feasible and reliant scheme, because of the long-term child-supporting-parent tradition and the effect of major social factors beneficial to family security. But the security selection has a diversification trend.Consideration of the current situation of the land demand and income supply for the elderly in rural area, the effects of characteristics of region, family and its members on capacity of land in old-age support are also investigated. Family support is an important method for the security of elderly in rural areas. And the community is now promoting the family-support system to change to the new one which is based on the elderly themselves.The diversifications between different districts are the key points when the local governments choose the system which suits them. In developed districts, the elderly can afford the social security system. Meanwhile, in less-developed districts, the elderly can get some support from financial transition.The thesis is observed: the country security system for elderly should be ameliorated from many ways, and gives some suggestions based on the situation of elderly in country.
