In the time of globalization today, the cooperative consciousness has penetrated into almost every field. Cooperation has become the spirit of the time, and spread everywhere in our life. The ability of cooperative learning is one of the basic qualities that the talent in 21st century should have. Modern education should bring up those who have a sense of responsibility and the spirit of cooperation, so that people and society could develop harmoniously, equally. This is why training students' cooperation consciousness and skill in high school correspond with the need of time and students' personal development. This paper presents the application achievement of cooperative learning in education field, from the aspects such as the domestic and abroad research condition, the theory base, and the application model. According to the physical and mental development rules of junior students and the feature of geography subject, combine with the author's teaching practice experience in several years, using the theory of cooperative learning, the paper builds the application model of cooperative learning in junior geography teaching, and also made observation in teaching practice.By investigating and comparing, I have come to a conclusion that the cooperative learning can inspire the students' interest, make the students cooperate, participate in the study, and eventually the students can make great achievement in the geography learning. Cooperative learning can cultivate the students' marks and the teacher's teaching quality. Cooperative learning can cultivate the students' self-confidence, the sense of responsibility, the sense of achievement and the sense of collective.
