Status Quo Inspection Of Art Appreciation Teaching At Senior Middle School & Research Of The Countermeasures

The course-setting of Art Appreciation is an Important measurement in strengthening Quality-oriented education of Senior Middle school, for the setting plays an active role in helping students to expend their cultural views, cultivate sentiments, perfect personalities, and develop personal characters. With the deepening reform of china's course setting in fundamental education, Art Appreciation, as a required course in senior middle schools, shows its importance gradually. However, there is a great gap between teaching practice as they are, and the requirement of the new course, which worth worrying a lot. The author of this paper, analyzed and researched the status quo of Art Appreciation and the factors that influence it through the way of observing, interviewing and questionnaire some of the senior middle schools in Zhangye.The outcome of the inspection shows that, influenced by text-oriented education, there are several problems such as improper course setting, low status of art course and their teachers, poor teaching and learning equipments, unfair evaluation of art teaching, lagging teaching conception, and so on.In order to meet the requirements of quality-oriented education, and to face the difficulties brought by Art course reform, the author has the following countermeasures to deal with the existing problems: 1.Absorbing new teaching conception constantly by learning. 2. Improving the Art teacher's quality by perfecting their knowledge construction. 3. Changing the role of the teacher, and adjusting the teaching action. 4. Innovating the teaching methods and improving the efficiency at class. 5. Innovating and enriching the forms of teaching. 6. Establishing scientific evaluation system. 7. Seeking teaching support to promote the development of Art Appreciation in senior middle schools.
