It's Chinese education's tradition to pay attention to literature education. However, in the past few years, Chinese education in our country hasn't developed as well as we hoped. And Chinese teachers and experts are still disputing and exploring how to develop literature education. Chinese teaching materials are vehicles for Chinese education. Whether it is ignored or valued can be reflected in Chinese teaching materials. So we can study literature education through Chinese teaching materials. It's a critical period to develop students' intelligence and emotion in senior middle schools, and it's the best time to give teenagers literature education. This article mainly deal with the position of literature education in Chinese teaching materials of senior middle schools.This article mainly includes the following parts. The introduction put forward questions, defines the study category and points out the meaning, things and methods of the study.The first chapter deals with the theory foundation of literature education in senior middle schools' Chinese teaching materials from the angles of the nature of Chinese course, education, psychology and sociology. From the nature of Chinese cause, no matter for its instrument or humanity function, literature education is both of very high values; form the angle of education, literature education plays a very important role to raise students' morality, mulled students' values, enrich students' emotions', strengthen students' characters, promote students' all-aspects developments and realize the ultimate aim of education; from the angle of psychology, literature education contributes to develop students' steady and deep emotion, foster students' good mental state and train students' thinking in images, logical thinking and creativeness, thinking; from the sociology angle, literature education accelerates both society and human beings to develop.The second chapter looks buck the history of literature education in Chinese teaching materials from the ancient times, modern times and the times after the founding of our people's Republic, and vertically set forth the meaning of literature education in senior middle schools' Chinese teaching materials education in Senior middle Schools' Chinese teaching materials. Generally speaking, in the long history, literature education of Chinese teaching materials is in an important position, and it's China's tradition to pay attention to literature education, in modern times, literature education has been ignored because of the classification of modern education and the certain Social Political background. In the new century, the new outline of Chinese materials in Senior middle Schools confirms and pays attention to literature education, and that action is not only a summary to the question also a return to the tradition.The third chapter introduces he general situation of literature education of Senior middle schools' parent language teaching materials in many other countries in the world, and definite the meaning of literature education. Although literature education is different from countries to countries nowadays, from the implement inAmerica, England, Germany, Russia and so on, the mainstream pays attention to literature education. There's much in their methods that we can make use of.In chapter four, I make an investigation of literature education, taking the eighth and ninth high-School Chinese teaching materials published by people's Education Press. First of all, I compare the different orientation to literature education in these two sets of teaching materials and analyze why it is so. And then I make a sample survey of high-School graduates in 2002 and 2004 of Zhangjiagang City in Jiang Su Province, which shows that students think more highly of the Selected articles in the 9th teaching material than those in the 8th one. At last, I interviewed a teacher who had experiences of teaching those two teaching materials and a student who had learned them also. From the individual interviews discussion. We can learn that the position of literature education has been improved in the 9th teaching material, and the content of it has been increased. It is keeping with the actual situation of education in China for the present, and it is approved by the student and teachers in high school.In chapter five, I think about the orientation to literature education in high-School Chinese teaching material. Judging by have literature education, and it is well-founded to have it in high school period. It also does good to the development parts of high-School students, literature education is one of the most important parts in Chinese education. Drawing lessons from ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign. We school stress the importance of Chinese education. Judging by fixed quantity, it is desirable that literature education can be up to 60% in new course standards, which is accepted by students and teachers. However, it is still being discussed how many works of literature in high-School Chinese teaching material is reasonable.I suggest that editors should solve the problem by making a comparison of all thematic proofs systematically.
