The Practical Research Of Strengthening University Students' The Culture Quality Education

Since 1980s, most countries, especially developed countries, have released laws, regulations to reform the higher education in their countries. The purpose of the reform is to strengthen liberal education, to make university students have a good study of their major as well as humanities, social science and natural sciences. China started its culture quality education of university students in 1995. After ten years of exploration, promotion and creative work, we have made great achievement in culture quality education and made it popular with students. Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine carry out the culture quality education In 1999s. It has played a vital role in teaching reform, course system construction, campus cultural atmosphere, social practice and the change of educational idea and talent-training model. The overall and in-depth change has taken place for school including the improving of students' and teachers' cultural quality and university's cultural atmosphere.This paper introduces the reason, content and approach of the study of culture quality education, analyzes the status quo of culture quality education at home and abroad. Then it explores the background, process and situation of culture quality education in China through the study of education literature. The thirdly part of the paper explores the trend of culture quality education in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, introduces the process, aim, plan, effect and preliminary evaluation of the culture quality education in this university, [t summarizes the characteristics and analyzes the problems of the culture quality education. It also offers suggestions to these problems according to the experience of culture quality education in China and the educational idea of foreign liberal education.
