In 2000, the Ministry of Education issued " Primary School Chinese Teaching program of Nine Years Full-time Compulsory Education " ; in which " listening and speaking " was changed into "spoken communication" . In 2001, the issued "Full-time Compulsory Education Chinese Course Criterion " definitely defined spoken Education and required spoken communication teaching closer to life and more useful, emphasizing communication function and reflecting the new definition of spoken communication in modern times.What changes have been taken to primary school Chinese teaching with the definition of spoken communication? How do teachers put it into effect? This paper tries to research into teachers, teaching material, methods, evaluation means and course aims by means of primary school Chinese spoken communication teaching, on the basis of which know about the disadvantages of Chinese spoken communication teaching, and put forward solving strategies to supply some theories and practice references to teachers, so that the real value of Chinese spoken communication teaching can be realized, and students' Chinese quality can be raised.The paper consists of four parts. The first part illustrates background and importance of primary school Chinese spoken communication teaching. The second part looks back on the history in china and illustrates the difference betweenlistening-speaking teaching and spoken communication teaching. The third part researches into and analyses current situation and investigates into teachers, teaching material, methods, evaluation means and course aims, on the basis of which analyzes the disadvantages, which are: the problems of teachers themselves, teaching material disordered and with lifeless, teaching methods unitary and with ill effect, evaluation one-sided and unitary, and course aims too rough. The Fourth part absorbs and draws lessons from "Devito" communication mode, the definition and experience of practice course, probes into workable strategies of primary Chinese school communication teaching : teaching material: ordered, the content of which closer to life, the instruction of which guided; teaching methods: create language situation and widen all kinds of means; evaluation system: the content of which all-round, means of which abundant, forms of which on scene.
