The new national course reformation of basic education insists that teaching should be treated as a communicative action, which emphasizes the communication between teachers and students or among students in order to form the mutual teaching, advocates independent and cooperative study and pays close attention to develop the students' creative spirit and ability. Hence, on the basis of theories and practice, this thesis is try to form a senior geography teaching mode of "Independence, Interaction and Creation".This research adopts methods of investigation and experiment. Through investigation the current situation of senior geography teaching in Hai Cang Middle school has been showed that the students lack initiative; the interference of teacher-center is strong; single interaction takes the major part, while multi-interaction is less; the students lack the awareness of creation. In order to deal with these problems, I construct a geography teaching mode of "Independence, Interaction, Creation" , including teaching aims, procedures, strategies and evaluation. The evaluation result shows that this mode is beneficial to cultivate the students' ability of self-study, cooperation and creative study; to have better scores and adapt to the university entrance examination; and train the teachers' ability to handle the courses.
