The document Geography Curriculum Standards in Compulsory Education (2011Version) clearly points out:"By selecting the basic knowledge closely related with life such as Earth and map, world geography, Chinese geography and agrestic geography, geography curriculum guides students to improve students’lifestyle and strengthening their survival ability." As a result, in the classroom teaching about junior middle school geography, the practice of creating the teaching situation with lifestyle can enable these teachers to reach the objective of new curriculum standards better for it can transplant situations in life into the classroom and make students learn in a cheerful teaching situation with lifestyle, hence reaching an excellent learning effect. By employing these methods, namely, literature research method, questionnaire survey method, comparative study method and case analysis method, this paper makes a comparatively systemic research about the creation of teaching situations with lifestyle in current geography class of junior high school.By firstly starting with the "famous Qian Xuesen’s Question", the paper then expounds the significance of this topic selected from three aspects, namely, fitting the requirement of new curriculum reform, fitting the requirement of quality-oriented education and fitting the demand of age characteristics in middle and primary school. After that, according to lots of relevant information existent about life situation teaching that the author has read, he combines this with his own teaching practice before giving an accurate definition about "life situation teaching". And this part will be discussed in Chapter I of this paper.Afterwards, in accordance with relevant psychological theories and philosophical theories as well as essential requirements in geography new curriculum standards, the author makes a questionnaire survey about frontline geography teachers and students of Grade Seven or Eight in junior middle school, and summarizes how teachers look upon at life situation teaching, as well as problems existing in the process of creating teaching situations with lifestyle. And this part will be discussed in Chapter Ⅱ and Chapter Ⅲ in the thesis.Aimed at several problems existent, the author further begins to make a detailed research about corresponding countermeasures for the core problem in this paper-the creation of teaching situations with lifestyle in geography classroom of junior middle school. Moreover, he makes analyses and comparisons about this by combining with specific teaching cases in teaching materials of Grade Eight, so as to fully prove that the creation of teaching situations with lifestyle in geography classroom of junior middle school, which fits teaching objectives and teaching requirements, can achieve an excellent teaching effect. And this part will be discussed in Chapter Ⅳ herein.
