In the thesis, I come up with some problems with maths communication. After a close study, I find many people don't have an overall understanding of maths communication. As for how to develop students' maths communicating abilities, we have taken some measures, but they are not easy enough to carry out properly. What's worse, few complete course examples have been provided as supportive arguments and there have been fewer quantitative explorations. And it is for all the above reasons that I think it highly necessary for me to deal with this topic here.To begin with this thesis, I place maths communicating study in the midst of international maths course reform. I examine it closely in the view of maths instructing theory in an effort to get a wider view of this topic. In the main part I present my research undertaken in the developing of maths communicating abilities. By combining the methods of quantitative and qualitative studies, I make an experimental study about how to carry on maths communication during the teaching. Our presupposition is that maths communicating is to improve the effects of both teaching and learning, and that during maths communicating emphases should be placed on communicating awareness, atmosphere, roles, ways and feelings etc.In my one-year exploration, I collected plenty of course examples (parts of them having been published) and student questionaires. The post-experimental test proves my presupposition correct. In this thesis, I also give some suggestions such as how to stir up communicating awareness, create the atmosphere, play roles, apply more communicating ways and form communicating feelings etc.At the end of the thesis, I point out in particular that maths communication is not only an ability but also a basic skill. It is a way of learning and also a principle for teaching. And here I should love to call on everyone to teach for communication and learn for communication.
