With the swift and violent development of science & technology and arrival of theknowledge economy in the 21st century, an integrated development trend of theinternational economy, science & technology and education is obvious, and higheducation moves towards the centre of the economic society progressively. To strengthenthe cooperation between enterprises and schools becomes a trend of the world. As animportant part of high education in China, higher vocational and specialized trainingeducation, while winning tremendous development , are faced with the long-term task ofhow to get rid of the influence of discipline-type educational traditions, to locate properly,to be characteristic, and, to improve the quality of education constantly;highervocational colleges, especially some newly-built ones, although under the background ofthe fact that high education is fast-developing, still face three major bottlenecks as thecondition for running a school, modes for educating and the graduate's employment rate.Under the macroscopical background, to reform traditional personnel training mode andprompt enterprise-school cooperative education(ESCE) is an important strategic choicefor higher vocational and specialized training education. To advance cooperation betweenschools and enterprises has become the key for sustainable development for highervocational colleges.The ESCE is a kind of educational pattern, which utilizes the two kinds ofeducational environments and resources of school and enterprise to realize the organiccombination of classroom instruction and practice, to train high-quality innovative talentsto meet various demands of enterprises.This paper analyses the theoretical basis of ESCE and the development state ofESCE both at home and abroad, basing on the two aspects of theory and practice, andtwo dimensionalities of history and status quo;on the basis of defining the essentialfeatures of the training mode of high vocational & specialized training education andcharacteristics and requirements of ESCE, and by analyzing the current situation ofdeveloping ESCE in domestic high vocational & specialized training education, the paperexplores the guidelines, motive mechanism, working mechanism and practice mode thatpromote ESCE, and propose policy suggestion for the relevant problems and practicalcountermeasure. A further analysis is performed by regarding the "2+1" mode in HenanMechanical Junior College as the typical case.
