Actually, physics is a science of experiment. Since its theories aresummarized from and checked by the experiments. The experiments areboth the source and the judge of the theories, which is one of theimportant features of physics.In harmony with the content of one lesson, the physicaldemonstrating experiments will be operated by teachers for the studentsto observe the phenomena. Having become one of the important partsof physics teaching, the method can be used to inspire students' interest,better the understanding, enhance the memory, stimulate theconsideration and develop the ability.But the College Entrance Examination affects the practice of thedemonstrating teaching , which gives birth to the following problems:without enough consideration for the importance of the experiments,some teachers don't deal with the relation between theory andexperiment teaching properly and they are too lazy to involvethemselves to the experiments;some cancel them without enougheducation expenses or necessary equipments;some do not achieveaffective results without enough preparation, or correct methods,procedures and operation and so on. So all the problems above not onlyare not good for making full use of the demonstrating teaching inphysics teaching but also the improvement of the teaching quality.So the author employs "research on methods and practice in designsof demonstrating experiment in middle school physics" as topic andmakes some research into them.According to the demands of High school Course Reform, theauthor talks about the theories on physical demonstrating experimentswith his professional knowledge and teaching practice, which is basedthe modern education and teaching theories and the research andanalyses on present situations of physical demonstrating experiments inHigh school. And he also summarizes the general method and specialtechnology relating to it, details the practice of multimedia technologyand simulation, and gives some usual designs for experiments andpractical examples.The essay is mainly made up of four parts as following:Firstly, Basic theory on Demonstrating Experiment. This partmainly expounds the definition, classification, functions and basicdemands.Secondly, Research on Method in Demonstrating Experiment. Inthis part, the author introduces two kinds of methods used in middleschool physics. That's, common methods and specialmethods .Common methods contain direct demonstrating, contrastdemonstrating, simulation and so on, special methods contain computeranalogue, model demonstration, projection and so on.Thirdly, Aids in Demonstrating Experiment—Multi-mediumtechnology. It is detailed in its function practical principles, methodsand magnificence. Taking recent new multi-medium into consideration,the part gives a detailed account of multi-medium technology andparticularly shows how the new method works in demonstratingexperiments.Finally, Design and Practice for Demonstrating Experiment. Inthis part, the author mainly tells us design principle and methods indemonstrating experiments, and also uses some vivid examples basedon own teaching experience.
