Physics is an experimental science. All concepts, formulas and rules in it are based on objective experiments. Therefore, this subject can never be separated from experiments. However, there are many practical problems in University Physics Experiment Teaching. For example, there are not enough pieces of experimental equipment for each student. Besides, students fear experiments because conducting some of them in real environment is difficult and dangerous.With the rapid development of the virtual reality technology and the further reform in teaching, contents, modes, and methods in experimental teaching have been greatly developed. By modeling and simulating a real experiment, the virtual experiment allows students to perform experiments in a stimulating environment so that they can be familiar with the experiments and acquire the knowledge of physics. Due to the simplicity in performing, advantages in interaction, good learning experiences in the process and its low cost, the virtual experiment quickly attracts attention in the field of education. Virtual experiment provides a better solution to the practical problems in traditional experimental teaching.At home and abroad, there are many excellent simulation experiments. Nevertheless, problems contained in the platform, the cost and so on prevent this kind of experiment from being further promoted. Moreover, Due to the difficulties in developing simulation experiment, it is hard for teachers to develop the software by themselves. On the other hand, very often, software developers cannot meet the teaching demand.in university. Furthermore, the simulation experiments that follow the same pattern cannot be well adapted to all schools.In this paper, the first chapter elaborates the research background of simulation experiment in university physics. Through literature research, the author analyzes problems in the experiment and explores the solutions. This chapter also includes the structure of this paper. The second chapter discusses the definition, classification and application examples of the virtual laboratory experiments. The third chapter briefly introduces the theoretical research, design principles, development technology and other aspects. Then it makes a comparison among the common implementation techniques of simulation experiments, and chooses the one that suits this system:Flash/Actionscript2.0. The fourth chapter completes the design on the university electrical physical simulation experiment from the angle of software engineering.Setting "oscilloscope" and "circuit experiment" as the example, it introduces the method to implement the simulation experiment. Finally, the author makes a summary of the whole thesis and anticipates prospect for further study.
