The theory of the sustainable development was formally given by UNCED (the UnitedNation's Conversation for the Environment and the Development) science 1992, it has beenrecognized together with acceptations by the people all over the whole world. The education for sustainable development may be as if the green ideological trendagainst with vital force and energy, blazes a new way and gives a fresh viewing area on thestudy of the new curriculum of the elementary education territory in our country and alsoendowed with one kind of brand-new thinking method. To consider and give the settlement on the elementary education curriculum problems inour country, with the world view and the methodology of the education for sustainabledevelopment which is aimed at the effect on the elementary education curriculum textversion theory research currently, with providing a distinctive observation visual angle andresearch orientation ,in the interest of probing elementary education new curriculumreformation in our country. This paper analyzes the origin, development and formation of the education forsustainable development firstly. And reviewing the international and domestic developedcourse of the education for sustainable development, has been summing-up the currentsituations and some main education items of the education for sustainable development,discussing its inner meaning and constructing with the idea of the education for sustainabledevelopment the theory foundation and the sense on the new curriculum of elementaryeducation in our country. On the foundation of these,combining the idea of the education for sustainabledevelopment with the elementary education curriculum reformation in our country further,with the angle through theory of the curriculum and the education ,on the basis of thedeveloping venation character the education for sustainable development in our country,analyzing thoroughly of the curriculum target and the curriculum substance in the currentcurriculum version,applying the probable settlements and proposals aimed at the concreteimplementation. The paper is base on the original idea of the education for sustainable development,supplies the theory support for constructing the sustainable development curriculum versionof the elementary education new curriculum in our country .And also expect to makeeducators and researchers some conveniences apt to their studying. The author's hope is todevote our own efforts to the construction of the sustainable development for the newelementary education curriculum.
