Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is put forward when the international society was exploring mankind and nature living together harmoniously. To Realize Sustainable Development is a significant and urgent duty to the world, points out that"Education is the key to promote Sustainable Development and enhance the people to solve the problems of environment and development". The long and glorious future of human depends on ESD immediately. Biology, which connects with ESD closely in middle school, is a comprehensive discipline of elementary education. It is of vital significance to analyze the present situation and influential factors of biology curriculum to implement ESD vigorously.The related literature of ESD has been explained and analyzed systematically from all aspects. Meanwhile the explanation is led by the thought of Sustainable Development. And then ESD is scanned and analyzed from the sight of discipline. The author studies the present situation of ESD of biology curriculum in middle school by the method of qualitative research, specifically analyzes the teachers'performance in the process of curriculum implementation and their understanding of teaching, studying, curriculum reform and school culture, then summarizes the influential factors during the implementation of ESD of biology curriculum in middle school. There are three aspects: the scholastic dimension, the external dimension and the ethical dimension. Specifically speaking, ESD is affected by school culture, the principal lead, teacher belief and teacher knowledge from the scholastic dimension. And the external factors mainly include the government, the community as well as the public's influence. Furthermore from the sight of ethic, the utility and technicalization of education is also the factor which restricts the implementation of ESD. The article suggests that we should enhance teachers'accomplishment of ESD through training, establish the appraisable mechanism of ESD, set up green schools, develop School-based Curriculum and compile teaching material. The mentioned ways before are effective to implement ESD.
