The present study investigated the relationship between goal orientations, task-value, self-efficacy and academic procrastination by the method of SEM.. 246 students of a university responded a questionnaire. The following results were obtained:1. Defeating -orientation was a significant positive predicator of academic procrastination . Academic procrastination easily happens to defeating -oriented students and task orientation.2. Self-efficacy was a significant negative predicator of academic procrastination .Academic procrastination more frequenetly happens to students with low self-efficacy than students with high self-efficacy.3. Task orientation and self-enhancing ego orientation have remote-effects on academic procrastination by self-efficacy.4. Task-value has no effect on academic procrastination.
