Along with the"one Course Standard several textbooks"carried into execution and the selection right of textbooks lied down gradually, Chinese textbooks presents the diversification in high schools. Followed by the new contradiction and the question are how to choose suitable textbooks for local high school, which lie right in front of the new Chinese curriculum reformation. The appropriateness evaluation of high school Chinese textbooks is the key to solve the problem. This research mainly includes the following three parts.Part one summarizes and analyzes the domestic and foreign textbooks appraise, especially on textbooks evaluation in native language and excavates the differences between the domestic and foreign textbooks evaluation. It was shown that the establishment of textbooks evaluation criteria in western countries focused on the students development, while that of mainland in China stressed on the ideological nature of textbooks, but both of the Chinese and foreign textbooks evaluation take the textbook's content importantly. Evaluation of Chinese textbooks in high schools equates the examination of them and lacks the processing evaluation of Chinese textbooks.Part two re-recognizes the evaluation of Chinese textbooks firstly, pointes out the division of the textbooks into checkup evaluation and appropriate one. Followed by the concept of appropriateness evaluation, which judges whether textbooks used match the local school students, actual situation, teacher's accomplishment level and local Chinese curriculum resources, for the sake of selecting the textbooks. Then comes to the discussion of the importance of high school Chinese textbooks evaluation in five aspects, and pointed out the basis of constructing appropriate evaluation system. Finally trying have been on the construction of appropriateness evaluation system of high school Chinese textbooks from the students, the teachers as well as the schools, the community and the families, three dimensions 14 projects .In part three, comes the practical aspects. Appropriate evaluation system has been put into practice. The method of questionnaire survey was used to evaluate high school Chinese experiment textbook's appropriateness of the Guangdong version from the students'point of view. The investigation result indicated the appropriateness works well. It is also reflected partly the appropriateness evaluation system is feasible.Currently domestic research about Chinese textbooks appropriateness evaluation is still few, this research is only a preliminary attempt, there is surely some imperfection, but it's welcomed that others offer their valuable ideas.
