At present, the exploration of the development and exploitation of school-based curricula is under way in our country. Guided by the related theory, many teachers have been very creative in their exploration and have gained remarkable achievements. The teachers in our school are also exploring curricula suited to our school.For various reasons, the reading of famous works among students in our school is not so satisfying. Now, the new syllabus has put forward its new requirement of the reading of famous works. Therefore, we feel that the four famous literature works should be exploited as our school-based curriculum resource. The richness and suitability of the four famous literature works as curriculum resources will ensure the achievement of the goals of the school-based curricula. The development of this curriculum resource is very significant in changing the traditional function and way of the famous work reading. In this process, the teachers will broaden their view of curriculum development, renew their ideas about curricula and become better accomplished in classical literature; meanwhile, the educational aspect of the four famous works will be made full use of to stimulate the creative talent of both the teachers and students, who will make advances in their interaction.This paper inquires into the connotation of school-based curriculum, school-base and curricula resources. It tries to dig the deeper meaning of the famous works instead of just skimming them, which will help the teachers to form correct notion of curriculum development and look at the four famous literature works from a new point of view as a curriculum resource. We are going to set up a lab for the reading of the four famous works and help the students to make effective use of them. The paper analyzes multimedia & on-line teaching as well as the principle and the approach of the curriculum development. In the course of the study, knowledge & proficiency tests, questionnaire and case tracking are employed. This paper intends to provide a foundation and a practical and operable method for the development and exploitation of curriculum resources.
