Studies on School-based Courses have just been started to develop, and several matured theories have subsequently emerged on the subject ever since, in 2001, the practice of the three-stage-management of courses was performed by which the state government, local authorities and schools hold together. The school-based course of Chinese, in terms of the specific subject, has been developed accordingly to acquire some achievements, though there are still more that must be done in the field. Nevertheless, many teachers of Chinese are not so familiar with the newly-developed theories as well as its operation. Thus, the purpose of my writing this article is to demonstrate a complete view of the School-based Course of Chinese and to share everything of some successful experiences in practice by means of analyzing some first-hand cases. During the course of my writing the article, I read a lot about the theories of the considering subject and acquired much of the related data. Meanwhile, through a series of investigating, comparing, analyzing and screening of the data, I've managed to realize the spirit of the theory and its current status of the development so as to put them into a full scale of practice. Therefore, this article mainly talks about some of the key problems that would happen in the development of the School-based course of Chinese, such as the form of the development, the resources and its availability and the attainment or the qualification that a teacher of Chinese should possess, working as the principle part in the practice of the development. Also, the article points out some probable lapsus in developing the school-based course of Chinese in accordance with the previous experiences in practice. I hope it may offer, to some extent, the theory foundation and the enforceable procedures in practice of the development of the school-based course of Chinese.
