At present, with the deep-going enforcement of the new course and continuous advancement of the course reform, the exploring and the use of the resources of the course has gradually aroused theoretical attention. And the key way to meet the problem is setting up the geography curriculum resources library. Based on the theory and practice of pre-research on this matter, the writer makes a survey of the current situation on course resources among 120 geography teachers in 32 middle schools in Xiamen. The result shows that most of the teachers need the resources badly to prepare for their lessons and meet the demands of the students' self-study and cooperation. Based on the teaching practice, the writer puts forward the principle and contents of the geography curriculum resources library for Grade 7 to 9 and also gives a try in building one.The research on the matter is based on "the standard course of geography for full-time compulsory education (experimental edition)" published by the Ministry of Education in 2001 as well as the theory of construction, discovery and humanism. Besides that, the research focuses on the construction of resources library, collects various teaching resources and puts it into the practice of teaching. With continuous supplement and improvement, it hopes to give play to the use of resources library. Now, the resources for Grade 7 to 9 is in the form of web-page and is supported by the campus website (http://hqzx.edu.xm.fj.cn), which is helpful to both the teachers and students on the study of geography.
