Professor Gardiner of Harvard University thinks the mankind has eight kinds of intelligence at least: Intelligence of the spoken and written languages, digital logic intelligence, and vision space intelligence, intelligence of the music, health movement intelligence, natural environment intelligence, human communication intelligence and conscientious introspection intelligence. This article in theory, probes into its enlightenment of present English teaching of middle school on the plural intelligence theory and middle school English teaching; in practice, through teaching case analysis and positive research, explain this application in the English teaching of middle school of theory. The respect individual difference that Multiple Intelligences Theory advocates thought of respecting every individual development, it is unanimous with a new direction of talking about the course reform, it inspires us to "teach for Multiple Intelligences", "teach through Multiple Intelligences ". The former can be regarded as our new thinking to the educational purpose in a certain meaning, the latter can regard as our new pursuit on the educational method. Quality-oriented education should traditional lessons , student of development, study intelligence only, and should pay attention to developing students' Multiple intelligences even more , train initiative spirit and practice ability through training students' Multiple Intelligences, this should become one of the important goals that the lesson changes at present in our country . This theory offers the support in theory for the fact that change newly in terms of the lesson, contribute to teacher's forming optimistic student's view positively, appraise the view in teaching view and flexible education " suiting the remedy to the case ", for improving the English education teaching quality of middle school and training students' overall quality to have positive realistic meanings.
