The Orientation Of Teachers' Role In Inquiry Teaching

In the knowledge economy era enterprising spirit and practical ability are the elementary factors which can affect the whole nation's development. So the new basic education curriculum innovation advances changing the status which overemphasizes receptive learning, memorizing and practicing mechanically. It advances a way of learning which is independent, cooperative and inquiry learning. It is a new point to set up and form a mode of inquiring learning which emphasizes initiative join, liking to inquire and elaborating student principal part. Inquiry teaching not only emphasizes change teacher's concept, but teachers' acting style and teachers' role.Though inquiry teaching emphasizes the teaching should be carried out around the students, the ability of students' inquiring form and development is not abrupt, but gradual. It is impossible for students to learn by themselves or inquiry blindly. In spite of the choice of inquiring variety, the creation of inquiring condition and the activities of inquiring, each step all needs teachers' guide. It requires teachers to elaborate subjective dynamic role and creation.
