The thesis probes into creation and development of theactivity-based composition teaching. Under the background of the newcurriculum reformation, it makes a deeper analysis to the compositionteaching.On the one hand, the emergence of the activity-based compositionteaching is reasonable. The thesis demonstrates it from two aspects.Firstly, this type of composition teaching accords with the law ofcurriculum's development. The educational history is very long andtortuous. Generally speaking, the curriculum experienced a long period asa discipline. With the development of the society, it transformed in thedirection of activity. As a part of Chinese education, the compositionteaching should conform to the trend initiatively. The activity-basedcomposition teaching is the result of the times. It should not only laystress on introduce of the skills and inculcation of the knowledge.Teachers should try their best to make teaching brisk. Students canobserve real life, experience real life and ponder real life through allkinds of activities. Then they can accumulate writing materials and savewriting feelings. On the bases of these, they can write the articles whichare full of living atmosphere and true feelings. It helps them to improvetheir writing ability better and faster. Students can also experiencelimitless pleasure in the cause of composition teaching. Writing will be ajoyful thing. It will change the negative image of composition in theirhearts. Secondly, it meets the need of new curriculum reformation.Nowadays, human strides forward a new development stage. Manycountries are reforming their education on their own reality to meet theneed of the development. Our country also published the new curriculumcriterion. Based on it, the curriculum reformation began. Theactivity-based composition teaching exactly accords with the aim of thereformation. It pays close attention to foster students' consciousness ofreaders. A composition is written for readers, not for oneself. It stressesthe ability to bring forth new ideas. A composition should have uniquecontent and thought, not as same as other's. It also emphasizes on themodification of the compositions. Only when students know how tomodify their compositions and revise them repeatedly, will theircompositions be better and better. On the other hand, the execution of thecomposition teaching proves that it is effective. It also can bedemonstrated from two aspects. On the aspect of theory, it isadvantageous to mix together with writing knowledge. We always payclose attention to writing skills. The thesis only demonstrates it briefly,because we are familiar with it. The knowledge about readers is neglect,so I emphasize on it from the aspect to foster the consciousness of readers.An activity-based composition can make students establish the thoughtthat writing gives service to readers. It is advantageous to arouse thewriting interest. Through analyzing emergence of writing interest, weknow that the activity-based composition teaching is more advantageousto arouse students' writing interest. Students can participate activelyduring the composition teaching. At last, the writing interest must besublimate. It is also advantageous to cultivate writing habit. In order toimprove the writing ability, drills are necessary. When students cultivatewriting habit, they can often train writing consciously. The improvementof writing ability will be ensured more reliably. It is advantageous to trainwriting thinking. Writing is also a cause of thinking. If students' thinkingis exploited, writing will become rich and colorful. These functions willpromote students' writing ability greatly. On the aspect of practice, thecases of the composition teaching have shown us its effects. Though theroad of development is not even, the activity-based composition teachingis undoubtedly one of feasible schemes in order to explore the outlet ofthe composition teaching. It will bring the composition teaching a newprospect.In a word, what the thesis emphatically demonstrates is thereasonableness and validity of activity-based composition teaching. Inorder to prove the viewpoint, it has the aid of bibliography and material toinference and deduce rationally on the bases of relative teachingexperience.
