"press close to life and community"is the trend of international scientific curriculumreform and also an important question in the field of current scientific curriculum practice, itis attached importance to by many countries. The paper based theory of constructivism, lifeeducation and STS education, used the qualitative method such as observation and visiting,did the case study on four chemical teachers of junior high school during October andNovember in 2005.Firstly, the paper retrospected the Evolution of "press close to life and community"inthe chemistry curriculum, which from the view of international scientific curriculum reformand Chinese chemical curriculum reform. Then the paper introduced the method, object andprocess of the research.Secondly, the paper expatiated the meaning of "press close to life and community" incurriculum on the base of summarizing other research, and introduced the main theory base:constructivism, life education and STS education.Thirdly, The main part of the paper analyzed the actuality of "press close to life andcommunity" teaching idea in the teaching practice,found the fact of teaching content, manner,means and effect by the observation and visiting,came near to teachers' bewilderment andanalyzed the idiographic influencing factors.Last, according the teachers' bewilderment and influencing factors, the paper gave someadvices on the teaching content, resource, specialization development of teachers and themode of teaching and evaluation.
