The college students are chosen as the main target of this research and the major research content is the varied dimensional effects of various physical training courses on the college students'mental health. According to the previous studies, the physical training is helpful in promoting college students'mental health in some ways, because students can adjust their feelings, ease nervousness and depression to enhance mental health though physical training. This essay focuses on observing and studying the nine different dimensional effects of various physical training courses on college students'mental health and the varied effects of different training courses on the college students'mental health levels of different gender.The research is carried out on the basis of some experiment. In the experiment, the targets --- college students are divided into three different training groups according to their interests--- body-building group, basketball group and table tennis group, among which the body-building group is only composed of female students and the three training groups are similar in training intensity and the same in the duration of each training and the number of the training every week. The experiment lasted for ten weeks and two measurements are conducted before and after the experiment. The results of this contrast study showed that all these three different training courses exerted certain influences on the mental health of college students, only each training course would influence varied dimensions of the mental health in different degree. Male and female college students had distinct levels of mental health before and after the experiment, and the level of female students'mental health was higher than that of the male students; the male students'mental health dimension was influenced in different degree by the basketball training course and the table tennis training course; After the experiment, the female students in the body-building group had higher level of interpersonal-relational affinity and self-esteem than those in the table tennis group.This research detailized the relationship between different physical training courses and mental health to different dimensional aspects of mental health and provides some reference for the effects of different physical training courses on mental health levels.
