The study about logic in daily lives is very important to mathematical education andteaching. The scholars in U.S.A.and Japan have already paid more attention to this, but thereis much less to this in our country. I do some preliminary work and discussions on this. Thisstudy investigates the state of daily logic of our middle school students and mathematicalteachers by questionnaire testing. From that I explore the factor influencing middle schoolstudents' logic in daily lives, and expect to offer relevant reference for the improvement ofmathematical education and teaching. Drawning lessons from the American and Japanesescholars' research approaches, this questionnaire takes the P?Q as premise and proposesfour assumptions: (1) whether Q is true, while P is true (MP);(2) whether P is true, while Q isnot true(CP);(3) whether Q is true, while P is not true (INV);(4) whether P is true, while Q istrue(CONV). Corresponding each assumption I give eight different problems, summedthirty-two problems. The each problem be asked to choose the answer in sure, negation oruncertain. In order to learn deeply what students are thinking, the last four problems(separately corresponding to the four assumptions) are asked to give the reasons as well aschoosing the answer. Besides, I interview some students directly on the specific issues.Throughout my study I get some preliminary conclusions as follows: (1) The middle school students' logic in daily lives talking as mathematical logic isusually worse.(2) Increasing along with the growth of grade namely along with the growth of theaccepted logic knowledge, the middle school students' logic in daily lives more inclines tomathematical logic.(3) There is no sex distinguished difference of the ability about middle school students'logic in daily lives talking as mathematical logic.(4)The logic in daily lives of students in point school inclines to mathematical logic morethan the students in common school.(5) The logic in daily lives of science students inclines to mathematics logic more thanliterary students'.(6) The logic in daily lives of mathematical teachers in middle school talking asmathematical logic is usually worse. The state of their logic in daily lives has some influenceon their students.
