Physical education in colleges and universities is a"Launching Aircraft"where the school P.E teachers and social P.E workers are cultivated. It directly relates to the improvement of school physical education teaching level and the development of social physical education in our country. Although in the recent more than a half century since the foundation of New China, the Chinese Physical Education Major in colleges and universities has submitted amendments and adjustments to the curriculum for many times, and further more has won certain success in expanding professional specifications, resetting specific fields and launching subsidiary courses, some problems still haven't been solved basically such as training rigid course arrangement & undistinguishing school-running features etc. At the beginning of the new century, with the development of the society, vicissitudes of the social structure and the changes of people's living style, the curriculum of Chinese physical education confronts great challenges. For the further optimization of Chinese physical education curriculum, the paper adopts methods like documentary summary, comparative analysis, specialist interviewing and factors'analysis etc. To do comparative analysis on curriculum between Physical Education Major of Normal University in China and health physical Major (training of teachers in middle school) of Osaka Kyoiku University in Japan, study the difference and common features between them and then analyze. With the analysis, respective features of the two universities courses offered are shown as follows:1.Physical education of Northeast Normal University in China: renewing educational ideology, set up common sense in elementary education; conforming curricular contents, demonize trunk courses; starting characteristic courses, enrich the subjects of obligatory course; enhancing the"adaptability","modules"the limited optional courses; laying stress on"individuality","miniaturize"random optional courses.2.In curriculum, emphasizing basic teaching pay attention to education for versatile persons; strengthening optional courses, keep high rates of optional courses; internationalizing & individualizing curriculum; miniaturizing curriculum; maintaining relatively perfect & normal authentication system of P.E teacher qualifications.Finally, this analysis provides referential suggestion to curriculum reformation of physical education in China.
