The Research Of The Algorithm In High School Mathematics Curriculum

"ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standard (experimental)"(2003.4) (hereinafter referred to as the "standard") contains "algorithms preliminary", it's in the curriculum of five modules in mathematics 3, algorithm becomes new additions to the curriculum.However, the authors found through questionnaires and interviews that the awareness and preparedness on algorithms and algorithms teaching of the high school math teachers in-service is not ideal currently. The following problems are exist primarily: 1.the awareness about the concept of algorithm is unclear; 2.not familiar with the algorithm in the new curriculum; 3. the awareness of the necessity and feasibility about algorithm is not so good.Therefore, this article elaborates the concept and the characteristic of algorithm first, "(generalized) the algorithm is the process or method of carrying on some work " and "(narrow sense) is the algorithm in mathematics, it's the explicit efficacious procedure or the step for solving some kind of problem, which is structured by limited steps, expressed with the mathematical formalism". The characteristic of an algorithm contains integrity, finite, determinism, sequence ,feasibility ,versatility and so on. Then analyzes the necessity and the feasibility about the algorithm in the high school mathematics curriculum standing in the student's angle and surrounding "the development of the student is the central idea". After analyzing the algorithm content in the high school mathematics curriculum particularly, ponders the establishment of the algorithm content and the teacher's preparation about the algorithm, and proposed author's some views. Finally point out some problems about the algorithm teaching for furth research.
