The thesis, based on the math teaching concepts adopted by New Course Guidelines and practical and development needs of the students, through the analysis of math teaching reform from home and abroad, I have done some research into math teaching activities of junior high school under new course guidelines and current syllabus. The thesis focuses on the nature and basic requirement of math teaching act ivies in junior high school under new course guidelines. Focuses on the design and strategy of teaching activities and evaluation, as well as the changing role of the teachers. The teachers need to transform from instructors to promoters of the development of the students, and transform from dominators of the classroom to organizers and coordinators of the classroom.Math teaching is a cognitive process, through which the mathematical thinking of the students is cultivated, thus not a teach-and-learn process. Math teaching activities is an interactive process, during which the teachers guide the students to think, to experiment, to exchange ideas with others, to associate what they have learned with real life, etc. In this way, more emphasis is put on the application of the knowledge and the innovative spirit of the students.The design for the classroom activities reflects the teaching ideology and strategy of the teachers. The teaching plans should be interactive, open, creative, reflective and efficient. Accordingly, teachers should try to know the students as much as possible, choose the materials most suitable for the classroom, design the best mode of learning, guide the students to cooperate and experiment, develop the creative thinking of the students and help build confidence of the students. The evaluations to teachers are mainly reflected in those of class teaching process.In math teaching activities under new course guidelines, there may be unexpected problems, including teaching concept, teaching method and social concept. In addition, I mention the expectation on to the math teaching reform, hoping to make my own contributions in application and development of new course guidelines in math teaching.
