This thesis presents a survey of the adaptability of classroom management to the new curriculum in Chinese class of a middle school in Beibei, Chongqing.Based on the observations of the classroom by six middle school Chinese teachers and the open interview to them and to the students from four middle schools, including a key municipal middle school, a key district middle school and two common middle schools in Beibei Disctrict in Chongqing, the thesis explores the problems existing in the classroom management from the perspectives of types of classroom management, the atmosphere in classroom, the problem behaviors in classroom, the classroom order and the evaluation of teaching in classroom. It is found out that there are many problems existing in the classroom management such as the simplicity of the classroom management, the gloomy atmosphere in the classroom, especially the problem behaviors in the lower grade in middle school, the prevailing outdated evaluation of teaching in classroom and the poor material environment.The main reasons for those problems mentioned above are the poor quality of the teachers themselves, the inexperience of the young teachers, the lack of skills of the classroom management, examination-oriented concept and the excessively large number of students in the classroom, etc.Therefore, some suggestions and advice are proposed as follows:1. Make both students and teachers aware of the content of the new curriculum put them into practice.2. Perfect the evaluation system of Chinese curriculum and make it practicable.3. Improve the skills of management of Chinese class, including warming up the classroom, encouraging the students and paying attention to the non-verbal communication with the students.4. Improve the quality of teacher, including be competent for communication, reform of knowledge structure and full preparation for the class.
