After the new curriculum was carried out. educators advocate teachers to build an open, democratic English learning class atmosphere to help students learn English better, which adds the difficulty in managing the classroom. Meanwhile, the characteristics of students in middle school nowadays, such as more knowledgeable, changeable, rebellious and so on, are also a challenge for teachers to manage the classroom. Therefore, to improve teachers" classroom management ability is quite urgent and better English learning can be stimulated in this way.In this thesis, classroom management is divided into three parts:learning management, time management and discipline management, each of which is discussed in detail. In learning management, three common ways of learning in English class are discussed; in time management, the factors that may influence the class time are listed as many as possible; in discipline management, several improper behaviors are introduced. As a result, teachers can know more about these three aspects as well as lay a good foundation for managing them well. What’s more, the thesis tentatively summarizes and gives some managing measures and suggestions for English teachers in middle schools by way of interview, literature study, case study, class observation and other methods. There are several practical cases collected from class observing and conclusions of interviewing teachers or students, which not just support the summaries in this thesis but also make them more convincing and believable. Different situations call on different methods or different students need to be treated in different ways. Teachers should be flexible in taking measures.
