The central government of China calls for a further development in secondary vocational education. To achieve the "development", improvement must be found in quantity as well as in quality. But what can be taken as the standard when judging the quality are not only exam marks students get when studying in vocational schools, but, in the final analysis, whether the graduates are able to satisfy the requirements of the businesses they enter. After all, the main task of China's vocational education is to bring up skilled professionals and qualified labourers who meet the needs of the construction of the four-modernizations (Wen, 2005).Travel business wants to serve a high quality and more international service, so it asks for employees with good English speaking ability. That is why higher expectation has been laid on the English oral ability of the students majoring in tourist specialty nowadays, who are future workers in Travel business. But, unfortunately, it's widely believed that the very ability is not well developed and can't meet the social needs.The study presented here focuses on how to develop oral English of the students majoring in tourist specialty in secondary vocational schools.
