This thesis aims to interpret and analyze both ideas concerning the assessment of students' study of Senior Geography, and evaluative questions put forward in the New Senior Geography for China Student's Book. In the light of educational theories, practices of geographical education and scientific research, this thesis exploits documentary analysis, investigation and quantitative research to follow several cases of students' study of Senior geography in SZ's sample areas of the curriculum reform, in the hope that new connotations of the assessment can be excavated. Top priority is given to the psychology of geography- learning on the part of senior school students, and the assessment of students' study of Senior Geography. Based on what has been done, this thesis comes up with an assumption on the evaluative operation of geography- learning on the part of senior school students in the new Geography curriculum reform. This thesis tries to distinguish itself by boiling down to the fundamentals of how to assess students' study of Senior Geography. Moreove, put inpractice and analysis with the undergraduate geography new textbook——《compulsorycourse 2》 and bring forward some suggestions .
