Focusing on the employment obtaining of graduates from non-military institutions of higher education in China, the thesis proceeds from its status quo and analyzes the various factors affecting it. Taking the successful employment models of graduates in western countries, as well as the experiences of graduates' employment in China from the period of planned economy to that of socialist market economy as references, it proposes a new model including four countermeasures which is believed to be able to solve the employment problem of graduates in China. The whole thesis can be divided into six chapters.Chapter One briefly introduces the historical background, research status quo, related theories and the significance to study the employment problem of graduates from non-military institutions of higher education in China.Chapter Two introduces the successful models of western developed countries, such as the U.S.A, Germany, France, Japan, Canada, etc., in solving the employment problem of graduates from high institutions of higher education, some of which are analyzed in particular for their helpfulness for China.Chapter Three focuses on the status quo of graduates' employment obtaining in China which, although not so optimistic, still has many advantages. Moreover, it analyzes its influential factors including those of government, economy, market, universities as well as personal ones.Chapter Four reviews and evaluates the employment model of graduates in China from the period of planned economy to that of socialist market economy since 1949, based on which it designs the multi-dimension employment model involving graduates, universities and colleges, government, employing units as well as other social organizations in China.Chapter Five puts forward countermeasures against the employment problem of graduates in China from the four aspects of graduates themselves, universities and colleges, government and employing units.Chapter Six is a case study of how Zhuzhou Institute of Technology solves the employment problem of its graduates, whose successful experiences are concluded, hoping to be helpful for other universities to solve similar problems.
