With the very fast speed of modem Information Technology and deepening of the new round of basic educational courses reform, the content, approach, method, mode of educational teaching are undergoing revolutionary change. As the teacher of Information Technology, the pioneer of basic educational coursesreform and the sole of constructing informationization education-Information Technology teachers are confronted with bran-new challenge: the fast speed renovation of specialty knowledge system. Information Technology teacher's subject-matter knowledge which is the important part, is that the information technology teachers must possess the systemic theory and practice knowledge which teaching need, it ensures the teaching of Information Technology subject, acting to the Information Technology teachers' professionalization development.Before corroborating the research and in order to put practical base for the research, the author took a questionnaire investigation to aim at finding out the Information Technology teachers' component, teaching and specialty knowledge system. The questionnaire data is provided for the next study.The paper researches on the component and development of Information Technology teachers' subject-matter knowledge.The knowledge theory, Teachers' professionalization theory and the essence of Information Technology education are the base theory of research. According to the essence of Information Technology education, the component of Information Technology teachers' subject-matter knowledge can be studied from Information Technology education and Educational Technology. Based on the knowledge theory, Information Technology teachers' subject-matter knowledge must be grasped from stabilization and development. For the stabilization, we must analyze from the history; for the development, we must analyze from the new development of Information Technology over the world.
