There are three or four English classes in a week in our country. We English teachers teach many classes, someone teaches three classes, or even more. Under these conditions, we can't focus more on students' learning interests and abilities in classes. We try our best to improve students' skills on tests. We teach more English grammar and let students do more oral dictation and writing exercise. From a long-term point of view, it is harmful for students to learn further. We must find a better way to solve these problems. Thus task-based approach is born in our teaching field. It is a student-centered teaching method. It can keep and improve students' interest in participating English activities. It makes our English classes vivid and colorful. By task-based teaching language, the students can get not only English knowledge, but also confidence from English learning and courage for learning further.All in all, English task-based teaching can enhance students' learning effects. We must adopt it widely in our English teaching.
