Research On The Reform Orientation Of Our College Entrance Examination System

The reform of the College Entrance Examination system not only reflects the objective demand for selecting talents of the higher schools, but also restricts the schooling direction and teaching reform of the elementary education. In 1999, the reform of "3+X" in Guangdong Province started a new round of College Entrance Examination reform. So once again the public pay close attention to the reform of the College Entrance Examination. However, there is some confusion and misunderstanding for most of these trends of the reform.. These trivial and meticulous ideas are divorced from our national conditions. So this paper bases on the practice of the reform of the College Entrance Examination, reviews the history of the College Entrance Examination reform since the founding of the new China. It also analyzes the developing trend of some other countries' college entrance examination, connects with the developing reality of our higher schools, especially some problems that exist in the system of our college entrance examination, probes into the causes and the trends of the reform of our college entrance examination and studies the theoretical foundation of our college entrance examination from the views of culturology, sociology, examination, education and the psychology. With the premise of our national conditions, this paper points out the guiding ideas and principles that our college entrance examination should comply with. At the same time ,it also puts forward the convenient and effective reform ideas. Finally, in response to the shortage of the college entrance examination, this paper plans a remedying strategy, that is, the undergraduates are permitted to change the major after the enrollment.
