| Web-based teaching and its correlative research have been an important content of 21st instruction and teaching innovation in our country. How to utilize Internet resources effectively and construct modern teaching models in a classroom and web-based environment so as to combine web-based teaching with classroom teaching, enhance teaching and learning quality and effect, and realize information technology integrating into curriculum in a deep level, is an exigent research problem. The new curriculum standard of English also inspire that the teachers should use the Internet resources widely to assist teaching and explore the new teaching models, promote individualized learning and enhance classroom teaching effect. Therefore, this article, combining with English reading teaching in junior school, under the guidance of linguistics theories and learning theory, constructs a extended reading teaching model of junior English in web-based classroom environment, which is according as the new English curriculum innovation's ideas and the advantage of multimedia and network technology. And this study, combining with English teaching practice, describes the model in detail from the six aspects: academic base, instructional objectives, instructional procedures, instructional strategies, instructor and learner roles, and instructional evaluation.This article includes six sections altogether:The first section: introduction. It simply introduces the research background, discusses the main problems of this research, research methods, defines and demonstrates the correlative concepts.The second section: literature summary. It first reviews the status quo of multimedia and network technology applied to English teaching at home and overseas, then reviews English teaching models in primary school in a web-based environment and reading teaching models and analyzes the existing problems of research.The third section: academic base. This chapter presents the academic bases of constructing the model. They includes Krashen's Input hypothesis, Swain's Output hypothesis and Blended learning theory, which are provided with the theory base for the model.The fourth section: constructing model. This chapter, according as the new English curriculum standard, by virtue of multimedia and network teaching, established in developing the students' integrated reading skills, independent reading, collaborative learning and cross-culture awareness, states the model from the six aspects: the theory base, instructional objectives, instructional procedures, instructional strategies, instructor and learner roles, instructional evaluation.The fifth section: the practical research of this model. This chapter introduces the research aim, procedures and result analysis of the model.The sixth section: research conclusions and prospects. This chapter simply presents the conclusions, existing problems and the prospects of the model.This study constructs and states systematically an extended reading teaching model of junior English in web-based classroom environment. After teaching practice's checkout it modifies the model so as to make the model perfect and operational, which can offer some guidance from the theory and method for English reading teaching in middle school in web-based classroom environment. |
