Opening teaching, which puts the emotion and benevolence in a special position, aims at emphasizing students' independence and letting them study freely according to their own interest. This topic leads the opening teaching mode into the geography teaching in high school, and studies the problem whether this mode has a better influence in the new knowledge's understanding , old knowledge's keeping and favored students' study than the traditional teaching mode, in order to improve the students' comprehension ability and problem-solving ability and improve the teaching quantities in large areas.The research chose Class 1,2,3 of Grade two in ChongQing No. 93 high school to do the experiment. Class 1 is key experimental one, Class 2 is ordinary experimental one, and Class 3 is ordinary controlled one. According to The Mankind's Resident Place and the Geographic Environments in the High School Geography II, the experiment did opening teaching in the experimental class, did traditional teaching in the ordinary class and discussed the effect and students' grades of concepts' memory, understanding and using in these classes, finally found out the changes of students' receiving this mew teaching mode and the interest to the geographic studying.The conclusions after the experiment:1, the opening teaching is helpful to promote studying of the students whose grades are not good, improve teaching quantity.2, the opening teaching is especially useful for the students whose grades are excellent to go ahead continuously.3, the opening teaching is in favor of fostering students' interest of studying.
