The scientific literacy education has become the core and the focal point in the new century science subjects education reform.How to explore the forming process of the scientific literacy is the key point of achieving the new teaching goal.The first part of article discusses what is the scientific literacy, as well as scientific literacy basic connotation and structure.The second part is about :The middle school stage is the best time to develop the scientific literacy, According to the international general scientific literacy investigation, namely, the investigation which was used by the fifth pubic scientific literacy investigation, a new scientific literacy about middle-school students is made, it is based on the several middle school students in Nanchang city. The result represent that there are still a lot of problems,for example:the way of achieving the knowledge is different;attidude toward science and responsibility is not good; the way of science study is not been understood; putting the science into practice is not good at ;Under the exam education system,the way of study is sole ,and they are lacy of creativity and the independent spirit .Based on so many problems ,the third part analyzes the causes of effecting the scientific literacy of middle school students in the chemistry experiment teaching procedure.The fourth part points out some ways of developing the scientific literacy in the chemistry experiment teaching procedure.The last part is the summary of this article ,it also sets the request to the future research.
