The course of math learning is one with continuous checking, reflecting and self-evaluation. If there is no self-evaluation, students will not be able to insight their study and life fully at a higher level, so they will not be well aware of themselves. At the same time they will not be able to set a proper learning aim for the following learning period. In a word , self-evaluation cannot be ignored in the math study of senior middle school. This article summarized some related theories of self-evaluation and analyzed the effect that the self-evaluation has on senior students' maths-learning. Based on these, the article briefly identified its concepts supported by scientific theories. The survey to the senior middle school students of our school has been carried out. Found: The ability of self-evaluation of senior middle school students are commonly weak. Two reasons for this are students' lack of awareness of self-evaluation and teachers' lack of attention to this ability. So teachers should guide and cultivate students' self-evaluation ability consciously. In practice, this article illustrated the approach of applying self-evaluation in three ways, namely, knowledge-teaching, problem-solving teaching, and teaching-supervising. Found: Through the experiment, good progress has been made in maths-learning and self-evaluation level has been greatly improved, which means that the experiment has had apparent effects and the methods adopted in it are effective. Seven strategies for developing the ability of self-evaluation in senior students' maths-learning have been abstracted as follows: to motivate the students' experience of self-evaluation; to help students evaluate themselves actively by filling in the form of self-evaluation; to guide students to establish their own daily files; to make a question list for self-evaluation; to help students check some of their exercises each other; to...
