The aim of modern mathematics is not noly to teath the students knowledge, but also to study how to develop the students'subjective initiative, so that they can be involved in study actively;evaluate their own study behavior and state,increase their marks and improve their ability to study by their own experiencing, observing, analyzing,self-monitoring and adjusting their learning methods.This article discusses the topic on how to do self-appraisal during the process of learning mathematics.The test before the experiment shows that students have had the ability and awareness to do self-appraisal,whose characteristics are recessivenss,transient and dependence, but their evaluation is not completely correct and entire. What's more,they're also not very confident .These mathods are used in this two-term survey;such as questionair,observation, diary methodology,interview,analyzing and so on.The essay also concerns the teaching pattern of students'self-appraisal ability from different angles, liks knowledge acquisition, mathematics problem soloving, methematics examination, research study and so on.The result of the experiment shows that through planned instructions,the students'self-appraisal ability has been obviously improued and that their marks have been increased steadily.It also proves that it's necessary and urgent to improve the students'ability to evaluate themselves.This essay provides some available methods.
