Based on a field-research in a middle school, the thesis describes and analyzes the teacher's participation in school decision making, including the communication channels, degree, contents and different people's attitude. Besides, the thesis provides the suggestions about improving the teacher's participation in school decision making.The thesis consists of four parts. At the beginning, the author introduces the reasons and purposes of the research, summarizes relevant researches, and shows the method and process of the research, and the main contents and conclusions of the research. In the second part, the author analyzes the types and characteristics of the communication between the schoolmasterand the teacher--an important channel for teacher participationin school decision making, and the application of the different communication ways at the different step in a process of decision making. In the third part, the different attitude and actions from schoolmasters, middle-level leaders, teachers and executives are presented, compared, and analyzed. At last, some suggestions about improving the teacher's participation in school decision making are concluded from the analyses and reflections on the previous contents.
