The Research On The College Teacher Participation In Democratic Decision-making

The teacher participation in democratic decision-making is a system in democratic management. It not only provides more chances of participating in college affairs for teachers but increases scientificity and openness and democracy in college decision-making process. It could promote teachers a deeper understanding of decision-making process and acceptance of decision. It would be beneficial for the smooth and powerful execution of college decision.The study is carried out in theory to analyze the meaning, condition, frequency, field and content of college teacher participation in democratic decision-making. By using the methods of questionnaires, we analyzed data to explore the present status of college teacher participation in democratic decision-making. A exploration of the influence of subject factors on decision-making, analysis of participation content is also given.The study showed:1. Desired rate is higher than actual result of college teacher participation in democratic decision-making.2. The differences of subject factors (including gender, college kinds, teaching load, working group and Professional title) have different influences on teacher participation in democratic decision-making.3. In the procedure of teacher participation in democratic decision-making, there were some differences between desired and actual rate to the participation content and degree in college policy, in the content aspect which can be divided into college policy, teaching level, capital and logistics management as well as personnel management. According to the results of the above analysis and from the view of college management, teacher and organization construction, Suggestion was given for basis of the research to conscientiously implement the policy and promote the healthy development with college democratic management.
